Ah, the long awaited disclosure of the secret of the browsers' weird talkatage! You see, Opera is Norwegian. The company is. So naturally the logo/program/whatever would talk Norwegian. But as Scandinavians go, it's English is pretty good too. 'Hei der' is Norwegian for 'Hey there'. 'Kult' is 'Cool'. The guy who designed the Firefox logo is British, so our globe-hugging little canine will be speaking accordingushly, awoit? Netscape is from the US of A, so there.
